I have just had a lovely 5 mile walk with Christine - again around the Newton Abbot area.  Amazing how much colder it was today than, Friday.  We even had a few spots of rain while we sat and ate our pasties.  Again. lovely areas to walk, and we saw Puritan's Pit, which was founded at the restoration of King Charles II in a collapsed limestone ( Read more... )

Yesterday was a really nice day.

it started with a Church Service for half an hour - a lovely time of contemplation on the suffering of Jesus on the cross.  We actually finished with one of my favourite hymns ... even if it was the "other" tune than my favourite!  So will sing along as I type up this scribble!

Last week I picked Jiffy up from the hairdressers and we picked Christine and went for a walk not far from where she lives in Newton Abbot.

As I said last week, I had problems with Photobucket .... and in the end took spikereaders suggestion and have used Flickr  ... at least they upload, but cant work out how to post more than one photo at a time.  However I have the photos here now ... so at least I am a day ahead of tomorrow when the next are due ( Read more... )

Over the last week I have taken Mum for 2 scans and an x-ray ... so at least we know she isn't hollow!  So far she has been diagnosed with mild Atrial Fibrilation and mild gall stones.  The gall stones bit is actually good as 4 years ago they wanted to operate for major gall stones ... so I have focused on the positive for that.  The echo that ( Read more... )

Went shopping this afternoon - and got a top and some boots ... so more money spent, but hopefully that will be it for clothes (after all next Saturday is the important one, isn't it?) until the New Year sales.

Was on a "late" again today so stopped in Newton Abbot on my way to work to do some shopping - a friend has a birthday next week, as well as buying doggy treats (guess who for!!!)
